Join Dandelion Gallery & Studios celebrates another year of empowering artists, strengthening communities, and enriching our region through the transformative power of creativity.

​

The Art of Community is our Anniversary Exhibition featuring a collective showcase by members of the Dandelion Artist Alliance alongside invited community artists. This inspiring exhibition explores the powerful relationship between art and community—how the places we call home shape our lives, and how creativity, in turn, shapes the future of our communities.  Dandelion helps reinforce this vision by making that creative difference in our communities and we are showing this off with a picture collage!

Artists have been invited to interpret the people, places, landmarks, neighborhoods, traditions, cultural heritage, everyday moments, and shared memories that define our communities—past, present, and future. Whether depicting familiar streets, treasured gathering places, historic architecture, local celebrations, personal experiences, or imagined futures, each work becomes part of a collective story that reflects who we are and where we belong.

More than documenting our surroundings, The Art of Community celebrates the belief that art is a catalyst for transformation. Art preserves history, amplifies voices, fosters empathy, strengthens cultural identity, inspires civic pride, encourages dialogue, sparks innovation, and helps us imagine new possibilities. Through artistic expression, communities become more connected, resilient, and empowered.

During the showcase event guests will have the opportunity to meet many of the exhibiting artists, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and celebrate the creativity that continues to inspire and unite our community.

Become part of the exhibition by contributing to our Community Canvas, a collaborative artwork that will grow throughout the evening as each participant adds a creative mark, message, or symbol representing what community means to them. Together, these individual expressions will form a lasting visual celebration of our shared community spirit.

​

Guests are also invited to participate in our Community Mosaic Tile Project with a $5 suggested donation. Create your own 4" × 4" glass mosaic tile inspired by community, connection, hope, and belonging. Whether your design reflects a cherished place, a meaningful memory, someone who has made a difference, or your vision for a stronger future, your artwork becomes a lasting reminder that individual pieces come together to create something greater. All donations directly support Dandelion's community arts, creative wellness, exhibitions, and outreach initiatives, helping us continue to empower artists and make a creative difference throughout our communities.

How has your community shaped you—and how can art help shape the future of your community?

Whether honoring a cherished place, celebrating someone who made a difference, preserving a fading memory, or imagining a brighter tomorrow, every artwork reflects the enduring belief that art is more than something we create—it is something that connects us, transforms us, and strengthens the communities we call home.
